Share a piece of agriculture history with us. Riding horses has been a long standing tradition in the agriculture industry since its beginning. Take a trip back in time and learn how it feels to ranchers and farmers to be on horseback. Ride through the Trout Creek Valley floor, hay meadows, and up to beautiful panoramic views of Routt County. Views of Hahn's Peak, Sleeping Giant, the Flatt Tops WIlderness and much more can be viewed from our trail rides.
Cost:
30 Minute Pony Ride - $30.00 per person
1 Hour Ride - $85.00 per person
2 Hour Ride - $150.00 per person
Winter Trail Ride - $95.00 per person

What to Bring:
Water Bottle, Sun Screen, Closed Toed Shoes, Long Pants/Jeans, & a Hat

Requirements

Must be 6 years old to ride!

Everyone rides their own horse!

Helmets required for anyone under 18 years old.

Experience not necessary. Instructions, safety brief and equine equipment orientation will be provided before tour begin.

Be sure your clothing and personal items will withstand the dirt, the mud, the water and the bouncing around!

Closed-toe shoes are required for your safety.

We will not be responsible for personal property.

Pregnant women, anyone with heart, neck or back problems, or recent joint replacement surgeries are not allowed to participate.

Have fun!

NO SMOKING at anytime throughout the entire tour or on Lucky 8 Ranch property.

Review and understand the animal and how to ride. Ask Questions!

Wear protective clothing, no sandals or open toed shoes.

Helmets are required while on the horse if under the age of 18.

Follow the trail and maintain a "safe" distance from the rider in front of you.

NO PASSING, NO LAGGING BEHIND, NO RIDING OFF TRAIL

Slow is always better & more safe.

Watch out for bison & wildlife. DO NOT APPROACH or ANTAGONIZE.

If you have trouble, stop. One of our guides will come and assist you. DO NOT GET OFF THE HORSE!

If you get separated from the group. Stop and Wait! DO NOT COME LOOK FOR US OR GET OFF THE HORSE. We WILL find you.

This is a guided tour. This is not a thrill ride.

Be conscientious of others on the tour, as everyone has a different riding ability.

Go slow, be safe, and watch out for each other.

Be respectful of Lucky 8 Ranch property. This is our home!
For the safety of everyone in the tour, failure to follow these rules will result in having your riding privileges removed immediately!
